Repeat Prescription Information
Repeat Prescription Box
For safety reasons our preferred method of receiving repeat prescription is by tearing the slip from your previous prescription and placing this in the dedicated repeat prescription box at reception during the day.
During the Covid pandemic, please could you leave your repeat prescription in the lobby without entering the surgery waiting room.
(Please ensure you clearly tick all items required).
You are also welcome to email the surgery with your prescription requirements on the following address:
dispensing.generic.w92055@wales.nhs.uk
Please write your full name, date of birth and list of medications with the strength and dosage that you need. We access this email address Monday - Friday during opening hours. When using this link, your email editor such as Outlook will automatically open a new message with the information required prefilled for you. If you do not have Outlook configured correctly, simply copy the email address above to the 'To' field and in the body of the text include your name, date of birth and medication you require and email to us.
Please note this is not a secure method of transmitting information as it is not encrypted. While your prescription will be dealt with in strict confidence by the Practice, we cannot guarantee its security during transmission.

Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions are only available after discussion with a doctor.
Requests are taken Monday to Friday.
Medication Reviews
In order to safeguard your wellbeing it is necessary for the doctors to review your medication with you regularly. If you are coming to see you GP on another matter, they will perform the review then. Otherwise, they may want to talk to you on the telephone or face to face. If you do not attend for a regular review, it may delay the issuing of your repeat prescriptions.
We would appreciate 48 hours’ notice when requesting repeat medication. Prescriptions requests are only taken Monday-Friday. Prescriptions are only to be collected by persons aged 16 or over.
Dispensing Facilities
These are available for all patients living one-mile or more from their nearest chemist. This gives you the choice of obtaining your prescription from the surgery or a pharmacist. For further details, please ask at reception or speak to our qualified dispensers.
